ALOHA MAUI DIVING for wildfire survivors

its mission:
TO CREATE JOBS AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE REBUILDING OF OUR COMMUNITY AFTER LOSING FRIENDS, WORKPLACES, AND HOMES TO THE DEVASTATING MAUI WILDFIRES.

First diving into the West Maui waters in January 2020, the company expanded after the Wildfires of Aug 8 2023 destroyed our town and home, nearly all profits were donated to fire survivors in the first few months following the disaster.

The following year, we created jobs for those who lost their jobs due to the fire and saw our ‘ohana grow. We continue to donate scuba diving experiences to the community. We also provide funding for reforestation efforts and other community initiatives.

The guiding principle of the company remains the same: give back to the community and provide exhilarating, beautiful, and safe scuba adventures.

SUSTAINABILITY & COMMUNITY

  1. How eco-friendly are you?

    • We ensure the products we use are biodegradable and reef-safe, from sunscreen and mask defog to equipment cleaning solutions.

  2. What are you doing about your carbon emissions?

    • We are enrolled in a program that aims for carbon neutrality. Our carbon offsets plant trees in the Waikoloa Dry Forest Preserve.

  3. How are you giving back to the community?

    • Every year, we set aside a day or two of scuba diving to gift to the community. The community, especially those affected by the recent Maui wildfires, are invited to dive with us for free.

  4. What are you doing to help with the aftermath of the devastating wildfires that swept through Maui?

    • Part of our proceeds is pledged long-term to the rebuilding of the Lahaina and Kula communities affected by the wildfires. Mahalo for helping us give back. We are Maui Strong.
